Why Visit Italy

You can spend a month in Italy and not see everything! Here are some of our favorites.

  • Turin – known for being the home of two major automobile manufacturers: Fiat and Alfa Romeo, plus its annual car race called the Gran Premio d’Italia.
  • Milan – Italy’s economic powerhouse, is a fascinating place know for the most glamorous shopping at the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II , famous landmarks, Da Vinci’s The Last Supper, their world-famous cuisine, and their time-honored Christmas fair that dates back at least to 1510 held for a week each year beginning on the Feast of St. Ambrose (Milan’s patron saint) on December 7th.
  • Lake Como – one of the most visually-stunning and popular resort areas in Italy,  even in ancient Roman times couples flocked here to escape the summer heat. Dotted with a number of quait villages and resort towns like Bellagio and Como, you will enjoy every square inch. A private yacht ride around the lake is a must to see the romantic mansions that dot the shoreline-many ownd by the rich and famous!
  • Venice – One of the most impressive sights on Earth, Venice is known for its islands and canals, for enduring landmarks like the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco, and for world-class events like the Venetian Carnival and the Venice Biennale. Take Gondola riding lessons and enjoy the food everywhere you go! Take a day trip to the colorful islands of Murano to buy hand-blown glass and Burano to buy hand-make lace.
  • Pisa – In Pisa, you can find one of the oldest hot springs in Tuscany, Casciana Terme, you can relax by the beach, visit the Leaning Tower of Pisa and the Duomo, and don’t forget their famous Gelato! You’ll also notice Pisa’s walls, construction began in 1154 while the seventh and final lot was built in 1161; this section defended the western side of the city, stretching from the Portello to the Torre dell’Arno.
  • Florence – One of the most popular destinations in Italy and the world, it’s an ancient city known as the cradle of the Renaissance. It was in Florence that the Renaissance was born, at that time Florence was the richest and most influential city in the world. Famous for it’s art and museums, you will find statues, the most impressive architecture, and landmarks at every turn.
  • Rome – They say all roads lead to Rome, and they won’t disappoint. From Milan to The Amalfi Coast, and everywhere in between there are things to do and see. Famous for the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and a sprawling metropolis of Classical architecture. It is home to the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, incredible food, gardens and art, and a world-famous film industry and shopping.
  • Naples – An unforgettable city, Naples is known for being the birthplace of pizza, for its instantly recognizable cityscape with Mount Vesuvius as a backdrop, and for its archaeological and architectural treasures. You can also take a hop over to visit the ancient city of Pompeii.
  • Sorrento – One of Italy’s most beautiful coastal towns. Its cliff-base marinas are lined with waterfront restaurants on the Bay of Naples. In the city center, you’ll find centuries-old basilicas and piazzas, all interconnected by a network of narrow roads where cafés serve great coffee with the street views.

Amalfi Coast

  • Positano – Known for it’s beaches, fairy-tale feel with it’s brightly colored buildings, flowers, cobblestone streets, art galleries, shops, (buy local handmade dresses and sandals), food, (famous for their lemons, you’ll find every delicacy made with lemons), boating and hiking.
  • Amalfi – Known for it’s Piazza Duomo, where you’ll find the best Gelato anywhere, Strolling down Via dei Mercanti where you’ll find quaint cafes’ and shops selling their famous limoncello and handmade paper.
