Day 1-3 Barcelona, Spain

Hotel 1898 is an authentic gem to be discovered. Nestled in the heart of Barcelona, Hotel 1898 is located in what was once the headquarters of the General Philippines Tobacco Company. The magnificent structure was erected in 1881 and designed by Catalan architect Josep Oriol Mestres.

In 2005, following an extensive renovation by Núñez i Navarro, the building was reborn as the Hotel 1898, a unique spot with Colonial flair and a style all its own, offering the best of Barcelona to each and every guest.

  • Barcelona Tapas and Wine Experience with Dinner

This small-group experience will bring you closer to the real local scene. You will be delighted with the more typical and exquisite tapas paired with the wines of the area, in 4 different tapas restaurants. Get the inside scoop on Barcelona’s renowned foodie scene from a local guide and stop along the way to dine at the city’s best tapas bars.

At each restaurant, sample an array of delicious Catalan cuisine, taste local specialties like Iberian ham, or ‘pan con tomate’ (spicy potatoes, bread, and tomato), and choose from a selection of fine regional wines. You can choose between an afternoon or evening tour and upgrade to include a flamenco show.

The experience will bring you closer to the real local scene. You will be delighted with the more typical and exquisite tapas paired with the wines of the area, in 4 different tapas restaurants.

A couple of the many stops you will make:

    1. Placa de Sant Jaume – The center of the roman Barcino and remains the administrative heart of the city since Roman times. 
    2. Passeig del Colom –  The main street dividing the Gothic quarter and the neighborhood of La Barceloneta. 
  • La Sagrada Familia (Church in Barcelona, Spain)

The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família is a church in the Eixample district of Barcelona, Spain, and is currently the largest unfinished Catholic church in the world. Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his work on Sagrada Família is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

  • Skip the Line: Park Guell and La Sagrada Familia Guided Tour

Stops:

    1. Parc Güell is one of Barcelona’s main attractions. Located in the western part of the city on an elevated area, you can enjoy the views of Barcelona from a privileged point of view, while your accredited local tour guide gives you the most detailed explanation of the history of the Park and its designer, the famous modernist architect Antoni Gaudí.
    2. Basilica de la Sagrada Familia –  You will be taken to Sagrada Família on a private bus. In the church, once you have enjoyed a detailed explanation of all the different façades of the building and its fascinating history, you will be accompanied inside by your tour guide, who will explain the secrets of its magic interior while you are astonished by the forest of columns and the lights shining through the stained glass. 
  • Montserrat with Cogwheel train, Tasting in a Boutique Winery with Tapas or Lunch

Marvel over Montserrat, and then enjoy tapas and wine on this full-day, small-group tour from Barcelona. Ride the cogwheel train to the mountaintop monastery of Montserrat, admire views over the Catalan countryside, and sample local treats such as coca de Montserrat and Montserrat liquor.

Next, head to the Oller del Mas Château, where you can tour the wine cellar, stroll the vineyards, and indulge in expert-led wine tasting.

Finally, choose to dig into a delicious tapas brunch at the château, or enjoy a 3-course meal at a local restaurant.

Day 4-6 Ibiza, Spain

  • Tour from Ibiza to Formentera by Sailboat

The best way to visit Formentera is to go by boat! A sailboat is even better! Come on board this Small-Group Day Trip to enjoy a beautiful day in total relaxation and fun!

Skip the crowded tourist boats, and enjoy a small-group cruise to see the coastline around Formentera. With a maximum of just six people on board the boat, you’ll enjoy a more intimate time at sea. Stops:

    1. Paseo Vara de Rey – Located next to the port of Ibiza, in the Plaza Vara de Rey the explanations and curiosities that surround it will begin. A large part of Ibiza’s history is linked to this point.
    2. Dalt Vila, Ibiza Town, Ibiza Spain – Picturesque streets, white colors, and echoes of history, one of the best-preserved fortresses in which the inhabitants of Ibiza have lived for centuries. We will penetrate through the walls of the 16th century to the oldest part of Dalt Vila, climbing cobbled streets to the cathedral where we will discover, in addition to views of the port that leave you breathless, the legacy of ancient civilizations to the eccentric hippies.

  • Morning Balloon Ride

Soar over the scenic sprawl of northeast Mallorca during an exhilarating 2-hour hot-air balloon experience. Ascend to the air from Cala Milor and feel your excitement heighten as you take to the skies and see blissful beaches and verdant beauty from a unique perspective. Gaze at panoramic vistas of the idyllic island throughout your 2-hour ride then returns to the ground to toast your flight with a glass of lavish Champagne.

On arrival, meet your host and watch your brightly colored balloon inflate. After listening to a safety briefing, step inside your balloon’s basket and take to the skies with your pilot. There’s plenty of room for you to sightsee comfortably as you soar up and away. Have your camera ready to capture bird’s-eye views of northeast Mallorca and the sparkling sea that stretches out around the coast. Listen to your pilot talking about the lush island landscape mapped out beneath you, and learn about the pristine white-sand beaches that typify northeast Mallorca. After floating through the air for about one hour, it’s time to return to ground level, so, follow your pilot’s instructions for a smooth landing.

Discover the traditional art of flamenco when you attend an evening performance in central Seville. You’ll watch dancers, singers, and guitarists perform and will learn more about flamenco’s origins, and the role that it continues to play in Andalucian life and culture.
