Zurich
  • Day 1-3 Zurich

At the end of Lake Zurich, you will find the city of Zurich, standing proudly with spires that pierce the sky. It is one of Europe’s most cosmopolitan and cultural cities.

You’ll find a world-class opera house, museums, theatres and art galleries many that are in factory buildings turned galleries.

Ornate buildings will let you know that you are in central Altstadt or Old Town which tells the story of these majestic city years gone by.  Cobbled streets are filled with shops, cafes, and boutiques.  Soak up the atmosphere and be sure to try the fine chocolate that Switzerland is known for.  

Head to Lindenhof, the historic heart of the city perched atop a small hill on the west bank of the river and take in the glorious view of the Old Town, Grossmünster Church, City Hall, the Limmat river, the university and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology.

Finally, take a 10-minute ferry ride across Lake Zurich. When you reach the shore, you’ll take a drive back to Zurich along the stunning Gold Coast, a prosperous region on the northeastern shore of the lake that’s graced by the warm yellow light of the evening sun.

  • A Day at the Spa and Thermal Baths

Swim in what once was a former Hürlimann Brewery and enjoy an unobstructed view across Zurich.  Experience an over 2,000 year-old-bathing culture originating from Rome that combines well-being with health. The ideal place from which to draw new strength.   You’ll bathe between hundred-year-old stone arches inside the mountain as well as in the open air in the rooftop pool. 

  • Llama Trekking

Day 4-5 Andermatt

At the foot of the Gotthard Pass, just 67 miles south of Zurich, lies one of the most impressive upland valleys in Switzerland. Andermatt, a church-spired village of 1,500 residents set at the foot of nearly 5,000 vertical feet of skiing is the largest of the three villages in the valley.  A Swiss ski gem, with narrow streets lined with traditional chalets and up the Ursern Valley you’ll find the Devil’s Bridge, which spans the sheer Schöllenen Gorge.  With the coming of the Chedi Hotel expect Andermatt to soon become the land of the rich and famous.

Day 6-7 Lucerne

The city of Lucerne sits beside Lake Lucerne couched in a heart-lifting mountainous, snow-capped landscape.  Centrally located in Switzerland, Lucerne is considered one of the prettiest cities in the world. Switzerland’s most photographed monuments; the Chapel Bridge and the Water Tower (from the 14th century) are all here in this beautiful city.  

The iconic Chapel Bridge is a wooden pedestrian bridge that spans Reuss River and is one of the oldest wooden bridges in all of Europe. walkway over the water.  Cross it and you will feel like you are in a fairytale.  Lake Lucerne combines the old and the new.  Go back in time as you travel down the river passing by timber houses and craggy peaks. The views are unmatched.

Magical Lucerne with plenty of charming towns and scenic walks is as romantic as any Swiss town comes. Day 8-9 Geneva

Delve into the historic and dynamic city of Geneva.  It is where the influences of international rein exist. Home to the headquarters of numerous international organizations such as the International Red Cross Committee, the European headquarters of the United Nations, the World Health Organization, the World Trade Organization, and other numerous international organizations.  It was the site of the signing of the Geneva Convention after the Second World War and is often referred to as the City of Peace.

The smooth surface of Lake Geneva reflects the snow-dusted peaks and brilliant green hills.  Small quaint villages, heritage buildings, beautiful churches, and temples wait to be discovered, while at the southern tip of the lake, the French-speaking city of Geneva entices with a fascinating history and vibrant culture.
