The Top 10 Hotels That I’ve Stayed In

Travel Tuesday with Taylor to her Favorite Hotels 1

Throughout my travels over the years, I have stayed at some pretty nice hotels. Although the majority of the places I’ve stayed at have been beautiful, some hotels and resorts have definitely stood out over others.

Today on Travel Tuesday with Taylor, I am so excited to list my top 10 favorite hotels that I have stayed in thus far. I chose these hotels based on my personal experience, the accommodations, the people I have encountered and how comfortable the beds were (that is major). In fact, I have stayed at a handful of the hotels below through SitInMySeats trips! You too could receive the same 5-star luxury experiences if you book through SitInMySeats. Let me tell you, it is totally worth it!

Ashford Castle, Cong, Ireland

Staying at the Ashford Castle during my time in Ireland had to have been the best experience in the world. For the first time in my life, I truly felt like royalty! Between their gorgeous staterooms, cottages and suites; friendly staff; traditional Irish adventures and amazing restaurants, you will definitely have the best time at Ashford Castle.

Hotel Hershey, Hershey, Pennsylvania

One of my favorite hotels in the United States is the gorgeous Hotel Hershey in Pennsylvania. Just a hop, skip and a jump from the infamous Hersey Park, the Hotel Hershey offers beautiful rooms, a wonderful pool, fitness and hiking trails, Segway Tours and a wonderful spa (that totally includes chocolate). It is the perfect long weekend getaway! Since my dad went to college outside of Hershey, we used to make annual trips to the area during President’s Day Weekend for his alumni basketball event and stay at the gorgeous hotel. It was always a blast!

Disney’s Grand Floridian, Orlando, Florida

Located on the premises of Disney’s famous Magic Kingdom is the 5-star hotel, Grand Floridian Resort. Where Victorian elegance meets modern sophistication, the Grand Floridian is the perfect place to unwind outdoors, relax with a well-needed massage and view the evening fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. Even though I have been to Disney World more times than I could count because I used to have my national dance competition there every year, we only stayed at this majestic hotel once when I was a very little girl. I still remember how awesome it was!

Killarney Park Hotel, Killarney, Ireland

One of my favorite hotels was the beautiful Killarney Park Hotel located right in the heart of Killarney, Ireland. It was at this historic hotel where I got to stay in the biggest hotel room that I never imagined myself spending a few nights in. In addition to the outstanding rooms, the Killarney Park Hotel also offers five-star dining experiences and the staff is also super friendly. I remember when we first checked into the hotel, we were greeted with champagne. I never experienced that before and it was awesome!

The Liberty Hotel, Boston, Massachusetts

One of the coolest hotels I had ever stayed in was The Liberty Hotel in Boston. Before it became a luxury hotel, The Libery Hotel was the notorious Charles Street Jail. Even though the hotel was renovated since it was a prison, the jail’s granite exterior and expansive interiors remain unchanged. In addition to the jail cells and wrought-iron gates featured throughout the Liberty, this place is rocking with amazing restaurants, nightlife and so much more. I had a blast there!

The Merrion Hotel, Dublin, Ireland

Another amazing hotel that I stayed in during my time in Ireland was The Merrion Hotel in Dublin City Center. This beautiful and historic hotel features a gorgeous interior and has a friendly staff. I remember when I first arrived in Dublin, the cab driver dropped me off in front of the hotel and the friendly doorman opened my taxi door for me. He was dressed in a formal Irish uniform and I felt like I went back in time. It was awesome!

Arctic Light Hotel, Rovaniemi, Finland

Located in the heart of Lapland, the Arctic Light Hotel is a five-star hotel that offers a cozy experience for all visitors. This wonderful hotel is in walking distance to some great restaurants, Rovaniemi’s Christmas market, some great Lappish bars and a few awesome shops. One of the main reasons why this hotel is called the Arctic Light Hotel is because they feature rooms with sky windows that will showcase the beautiful Northern Lights for you. I remember when I first arrived at the Arctic Light Hotel, I could easily remember how the hotel was perfectly decorated with Christmas lights and it even had lights, similar to the Northern Lights, shining on the building.

Paradise Resort Club, Canmore, Alberta, Canada

During my family vacation in the Canadian Rocky Mountains last summer, we stayed at the Paradise Resort Club in Canmore, Alberta. Located in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, this beautiful resort offers suite-style chalets, a stone fireplace and amazing views of the nearby mountains. There was nothing more comforting than falling asleep to a warm fire and waking up to a gorgeous mountain breeze. The Canadian Rockies are truly a jewel in North America.

Hotel Irvine, Irvine, California

Over the past few years, I have traveled to Southern California three times. Two out of those three times, I have stayed at the awesome Hotel Irvine that is located right in the heart of Orange County. Not only is this hotel beautiful, fun and super clean, it is perfectly located between California’s two famous cities – Los Angeles and San Diego. Whenever someone I know is traveling to SoCal, I always recommend them to stay in Orange County, near Laguna and Newport Beach, so that they could experience the beauty there as well as do day trips to both San Diego and Los Angeles.

Parador de Fuente Dé, Picos de Europa, Cantabria, Spain

Located in the heart of Picos de Europa National Park in the Cantabria region of Spain is the beautiful Parador de Fuente Dé. This wonderful place is a warm and welcoming bed and breakfast where each room has its own balcony overlooking the beautiful mountains nearby. As I have mentioned in a few of my blog posts, Northern Spain is one of the most underrated areas in the country and the Parador de Fuente Dé is a great addition to how amazing it is. Another reason why I love this place is because the staff is so friendly! During one of the nights while I was staying there, we were eating dinner and there was only a meat option. Since I don’t eat red meat, the chef was very accomodating and made me one of the best tortillas (Spanish omelet) of my life!
