Top 10 Father’s Day Gift Ideas

Adventures with Dad for Father’s Day

Last month, I created a Mother’s Day adventure gift guide using ideas from personal experiences with my mom. The blog post was successful and everyone recommended I do one for Father’s Day too. I will admit that my dad is a bit of a homebody, so we don’t have many adventures together. However, he LOVES sports, so I gathered some great Father’s Day gifts that I have gotten for my dad in the past that gets him out of the house and doing something he enjoys.

Don’t get me wrong, even though my dad is comfortable being home and we have many differences in interests, we are still super close and he is my biggest support system. I always want to make sure I get my dad a gift that puts a smile on his face to show how appreciative I am for him.

Here are ten awesome Father’s Day gift ideas for the dad figure in your life:

Love my Dad!

Since the beautiful weather is here to stay, get your dad a gift certificate to go golfing for the day. If you enjoy golfing, go with him and make the experience even more memorable!

My dad loves to golf. He even got me to take private lessons when I was younger!

Baseball is always a good idea. Even though I am not the biggest sports person, being at a live game is pretty fun and exciting.

Although half of my family members are Yankee fans and the other half are Mets fans, we always enjoy cheering for a New York team.

Even though it was like pulling teeth to get my dad to go to the Sangria Festival at Benmarl Winery during Summer 2015, he ended up having the time of his life. Hit up a winery!

Buy your dad tickets to go see his favorite singer, band or music group.

A concert is always a great gift idea!

A gift card to Modell’s, Dick’s Sporting Goods or Cabela’s is never a bad choice. Your dad can get whatever he needs for his next sports adventure.

My dad referees basketball, so I always try and get him something that will help him “run the court”.

Get a small grill with your dad’s favorite food and beer and have a “beerbecue” at a local lake, park or even your own backyard.

Grill your “catch of the day” if you can combine fishing with your barbeque.

Have a relaxing beach day!

Take him out to his favorite local restaurant. My dad’s favorite food is Italian, so his favorite restaurants in Bergen County, New Jersey are The Sicilian Sun in Ho Ho Kus, Mezza Luna Bistro in Allendale, Andrea’s in Waldwick, Villa Amalfi in Cliffside Park and Tutto A Modo Mio in Ridgefield.

Enjoy a fun kickball, cornhole, horseshoe or flag football game or just backyard fun.

If its a hot day out, have some water fun in your backyard or local park.

Do something you both will remember and cherish forever!

I was so happy when my dad visited me while I was studying abroad in Salamaca, Spain. In this photograph, we were enjoying tapas, sangria and the beautiful Plaza Mayor!
