Dreaming of my Vacation in Greece Last Year
There are many occasions when clients want to return to their last vacation destination. My word of advice and what I also tell myself is, why?
There are so many places to visit in this world. Why return; try someplace new and last but not least, there is a good chance that what you captured the first time you may not capture on the second go around. You may be disappointed. Do you want to take that chance? For some, vacations only come around once a year.
This year I am faced with the same dilemma. Last year I vacationed in Greece and I fell in love! I had the opportunity to visit Athens, Mykonos and Santorini, the itinerary that is usually suggested for first timers. I cannot seem to get it out of my head. I loved Athens history as much as Mykonos’s trendy vibe and beaches and Santorini sunsets.
To date it has been my favorite trip and being in the travel business I’ve traveled pretty extensively. I find myself dreaming of Greece on a day to day basis. So the question remains, should I or shouldn’t I?
Santorini Secret is amazing!
I can choose the “not so famous islands” like Porto Heli which is part of the Peloponnese and Spetses, the Sarconic Islands and pair it up with the Athens Riviera located just 10 miles outside of city center. And to boot, the Four Seasons opens in June which will help to reinvent Athens beaches. My fabulous guides Alex and Vasillios drove me past them last year.
I never knew they existed.
I never got to swim in them.
I think I’m convinced.
I need to go back!
Would you go back to the same place again?
